We had our passport application appointment yesterday. They had booked us in for 2 slots because all five of use would be there at the same time - but, the joy of modern conveniences is that I was able to go online to fill out our forms ahead of time and then print them out all neatly typed and spaced, so the clerk was able to speed through them with ease. We were in and out of there in less than 45 minutes, which included our Oath Swearing and all. The kids thought it was interesting that they had us do that, which provided a great opportunity to explain to them about representing yourself in a truthful manner.
$445 later, on the way to the car, Graeme commented that we didn't need him at the appointment and he wished that he didn't have to miss school for it (only 45 minutes late, mind you - but that's a life-time to a 7yr old). We then explained that he had to be there at the appointment so they could tell that what we had written on the application was truthful and we weren't trying to do anything illegal. Another great opportunity to explain presenting ourselves in a trustworthy manner.

You are SO efficient. Great job saving everyone time and getting in and out so quickly.
Appreciate the years they want to go to school - I understand that goes away some day. :)
I'm glad you're so truthful. :-)
